The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the critical role of volunteers in sustaining organisational programmes during crises. In recent months, in the face of shifting international development funding, once again organisations have relied on the resilience of volunteers to continue their work.  

In this session we will explore strategies for organisations to proactively integrate volunteering from the inception of their programmes, ensuring sustainability and adaptability rather than relying on volunteers as a last resort during challenging times. Participants will gain insights into effective strategies for building volunteer-based resilience and long-term programme stability.
