Policy Analyst - United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme

Vera Chrobok is a Policy Analyst with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme. She works with the policy and research section on knowledge production and facilitation, including the conceptualisation and production of UNV’s global flagship publication (State of the World’s Volunteerism Report). Prior to joining UNV, she worked as Child Protection Specialist with UNICEF in South Africa, as Head of Field Office with ChildFund International in Northern Uganda, and as Research Analyst with the Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC). She has authored several publications on peace and security-related topics. Vera holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Maastricht (NL), and a Master’s Degree in Peacekeeping and Security Studies from the Università degli Studi Sociali Roma Tre (Italy). Vera and Tapiwa Kamuruko will be presenting on the How-to Workshop “Exploring the challenges and opportunities of volunteer measurement: the State of the World Volunteerism Report (SWVR) and the Volunteer Index” during the IVCO Conference.
