Impact and Partnerships Manager - COCO

Pip is the Impact and Partnerships Manager at COCO, fulfilling her passion for international development. Her journey with COCO began in 2019 when she volunteered in Tanzania as a student researcher and facilitator. She was profoundly influenced by the organisation’s innovative grassroots approach to education, prioritising the needs of local communities. Her work has also spanned across Eastern Uganda, where she worked with in and out-of-school youths on developing the skills required to be self-reliant entrepreneurs. Her previous work has also focused on spearheading vital health and sanitation initiatives. Her dedication to gender equality and sustainable development led her to join Equal Aqua Uganda as the Female Empowerment Director. Pip earned her Master’s degree in International Development and Education from Newcastle University and is in the final stages of her PhD, focusing on intergenerational female empowerment in Delhi, India. Her extensive global experience has enriched her knowledge, providing a multifaceted perspective that bridges volunteerism, academic research, and charitable impact. Pip will be presenting on “Mobilising Volunteers in the Northeast of England for Global Impact” in a Pecha-Kucha session during the IVCO 2024 Conference.
