Amy Nagus is a passionate humanitarian and development practitioner, as well as an intersectional feminist. She holds an MSc in Gender, Development and Globalisation from the London School of Economics and a postgraduate certificate in International Development Project Management from Humber College in Toronto. Throughout her career, Amy has worked in multiple complex contexts, including Jordan, Greece, Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Uganda, and Malawi, engaging in a variety of sectors related to humanitarian and development responses. Currently, she serves as a Gender Advisor for Oxfam’s office in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, where she supports a range of projects focused on digital rights, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and the recognition of women’s contributions to peace and security. As part of the Gender Justice team, Amy is committed to advocating for equitable treatment and opportunities for women within these critical areas. Her dedication to fostering gender equality and empowering vulnerable communities reflects her deep-seated belief in the importance of social justice and human rights, positioning her as a vital contributor to Oxfam’s mission and the wider humanitarian landscape. Amy and William Bougaire will be presenting on “Resilience and innovation in feminist volunteering in times of crises” in a Pecha-Kucha session during the IVCO Conference.
