Founder - Cameroon Youth School Tech Incubator (CAYSTI)

Arielle Kitio, the global winner of Deloitte’s “Lead2030 for SDG4” on quality education in 2020, has received numerous accolades for her contributions to technology and education in Africa. In 2019, she was honoured with the Margaret Award for the African Digital Woman, along with the National Award of Excellence for Youth from the Cameroon government, recognising her as the best young technology entrepreneur. Additionally, she received the TechWomen Award from the U.S. State Department in 2016 and serves as an ambassador for the Next Einstein Forum in Cameroon. In 2017, she founded CAYSTI, a pioneering organisation in French-speaking Africa that creates innovative learning platforms for new technologies. Under her leadership, CAYSTI has successfully trained over 7,000 children in areas such as creativity, coding, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The African Union certified CAYSTI’s educational tools, including the abcCode software, which has also been recognised as one of the top 10 education innovations by UNESCO. Her initiatives, like the “Coder en langues nationales” competition, have garnered support from various institutions, including the International Organisation of the Francophonie (Organisation internationale de la francophonie), the Mastercard Foundation, and UNICEF. Arielle will be presenting on “Strengthening a local/regional digital industry that trains and employs women and girls through volunteerism” in a Pecha-Kucha Session during the IVCO 2024 Conference.
