Erin is the Director of Volunteer Cooperation and oversees programmes in Sri Lanka, South Sudan, Malawi, and Uganda for WUSC (World University Service of Canada), a Canadian non-profit organisation. In her role, she provides crucial support and leadership for WUSC’s initiatives in economic opportunities, education, and volunteer cooperation across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Before joining WUSC, Erin gained valuable experience working with Cuso International, Global Affairs Canada, and VSO, further enriching her background in international development. In addition to her directorship at WUSC, Erin serves on the Board of the International Forum for Volunteering in Development (Forum), where she contributes her expertise to enhance the impact of volunteering in global development contexts. She holds a Master of Science in Development Studies from the prestigious London School of Economics, equipping her with a solid academic foundation to inform her professional practices. Erin’s extensive experience and commitment to fostering sustainable development through volunteer initiatives make her a key figure in the field, and she continues to strive for meaningful change in the communities she serves. Erin will be one of the moderators during the IVCO 2024 conference.
