Kedkun Srakawee

Asst. Prof. Dr Kedkun Srakawee is a distinguished lecturer and faculty member at the Puey Ungphakorn School of Development Studies (PSDS) at Thammasat University. She holds a PhD in Applied Behavioral Science Research from Srinakharinwirot University, an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Chulalongkorn University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Kasetsart University. With extensive experience in the development sector, Dr Srakawee has collaborated with notable organisations such as the Raks-Thai Foundation (Care Thailand), Oxfam Thailand, Plan International Thailand, and the International Health Policy Program (IHPP). Her teaching focuses on volunteerism, offering courses like “The Psychology for Volunteer Work” and “Preparing for Volunteer Work”. These courses delve into the psychological and behavioural principles underpinning volunteering, along with practical guidelines for effectively preparing and organising volunteers across various contexts. Dr Srakawee’s research interests include developing volunteer networks for vulnerable groups, creating learning spaces for youth, engaging volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and producing the SDG Stakeholder Solution Report on volunteering. Her work is pivotal in promoting participation and volunteerism within Thai society, gaining support from both national and international bodies. Dr. Kedkun will be presenting the the topic: “Solidarity in volunteering – How do we know if we are making progress in an ever changing world?” in a Strategy Conversation during the IVCO 2024 Conference.
