Kieron Smith

Community Volunteer Coordinator - Leitrim Volunteer Centre

Kieron Smith holds a BA (Hons) degree in Performing Arts (Drama & Theatre) and trained at Dublin’s Conservatory of Music and Drama. He has worked as an Events and Festivals Coordinator with various arts organisations throughout Ireland, including the Galway International Arts Festival, Dublin Theatre Festival, Druid Theatre Company, Project Arts Centre, Galway Arts Centre, and Cuirt International Festival of Literature. He was the Founder and Artistic Director of Cavan Theatre Festival, supported by Cavan Arts Office and the Arts Council of Ireland. Kieron joined Development Perspectives as an SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Advocate and a participant in the Global Citizenship Education programme for 2023. He recently spent six months in Southeast Asia, working and volunteering with INGOs. Kieron is also part of the Volunteer Leadership Academy and the Mentorship programme with Carmichael House in Dublin. Since June 2023, Kieron has been working with Leitrim Volunteer Centre as the Community Volunteer Coordinator. Kieron will be presenting on “Irish Global Solidarity in 100 objects” in a Pecha-Kucha Session during the IVCO 2024 Conference.
