Lucie Morillon has served as the Director of Communication and Engagement for France Volontaires since January 2017. In this role, she promotes the recognition of volunteer and solidarity commitments globally through various complementary strategies, including the production and dissemination of knowledge, communication, advocacy, and effective project design. As a member of the leadership team, Lucie plays a vital role in the overall management of France Volontaires, contributing to the organisation’s objectives of performance, transparency, and accountability.
Before her tenure at France Volontaires, Lucie dedicated her career to the promotion of freedom of expression as the Programs Manager at Reporters Without Borders (RSF). There, she managed RSF’s international network and served as the organisation’s spokesperson to the media and various institutions. She coordinated field projects and advocacy strategies, along with overseeing research and publications. Additionally, she founded RSF’s Washington DC office, leading the development of its activities in the US from 2004 to 2009.
Lucie holds degrees in Contemporary History and in Public and Political Communication, and she is a passionate advocate for interculturality and international solidarity. Lucie will be presenting on “Harnessing the Impact of Reciprocity in Volunteering: Findings and Recommendations to Enhance International Cooperation Models” in a How-to Workshop Session during the IVCO 2024 Conference.
