Chairperson - Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIO) Society Kenya

Meshack is a detail-oriented professional with over a decade of experience as a community development practitioner. He possesses a proven ability to implement community projects, build strategic partnerships, and develop essential policy and legal frameworks to ensure sustainability. As the chair of the VIO Society Kenya, a network comprising more than 40 organisations engaging volunteers across the country, Meshack plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and enhancing volunteerism in the region. In addition to his leadership at the VIO Society, Meshack chairs the board of one of its member organisations, Africa for SDGs, further demonstrating his commitment to sustainable development goals. He also serves as a consultant for the Association of Kenya Young Parliamentarians, contributing his expertise to empower young leaders. Moreover, Meshack represents Kenya in the Good Deeds Day movement, a global initiative that promotes volunteerism through the principles of thinking good, speaking good, and doing good. His multifaceted engagement in community development and volunteerism underscores his dedication to making a positive impact in society and fostering a culture of service within Kenya. Meshack’s work continues to inspire and mobilise individuals and organisations towards meaningful community engagement. Meshack will be presenting on “The Future of Volunteering and Development in a World Faced by Crises” in Strategy Conversation during the IVCO 2024 Conference.
