Volunteer Engagement Officer - Habitat for Humanity Zambia

Paul Chishimba is a seasoned Public Relations practitioner, currently serving as the Volunteer Engagement Officer at Habitat for Humanity Zambia. With over ten years of experience, he possesses significant expertise in resource mobilisation, donor management, and volunteer engagement. Mr. Chishimba is also pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the National Institute for Public Administration, further enhancing his skills and knowledge. His contributions to Habitat for Humanity Zambia’s local resource mobilisation efforts have been substantial, reflecting his commitment to community development. A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, Mr. Chishimba founded a community-based football academy that utilises sports as a tool for development, concentrating on critical issues such as HIV/AIDS prevention, child labour, and the eradication of child marriages. Through this initiative, he demonstrates his dedication to creating positive change within his community, particularly for young people. Mr. Chishimba’s work embodies a blend of professional expertise and heartfelt commitment, making him a key figure in the ongoing efforts to uplift and empower vulnerable populations in Zambia. Paul and Peris Mwangi will be presenting on “Strengthening Communities Through Volunteerism: Approaches by Habitat for Humanity in Kenya and Zambia” in a Strategy Conversation Breakout Session during the IVCO 2024 Conference.
