Dervla King is a programme manager, researcher, facilitator and strategic planner with over 25 years of experience in community development, international development, global citizenship education, and organisational capacity building. Currently Programme Manager at Comhlámh, she works on initiatives focused on values-led international volunteering, global citizenship education, partnership development, monitoring and evaluation, and ecological sustainability. Throughout her career, Dervla has worked with NGOs, community organisations, educational institutions, and international networks, designing and delivering research, training, policy, and strategic development programmes. She currently serves on the boards of AfrI and Voluntary Service International (VSI), and the Advisory Board of Irish Jesuits International. Her work is driven by a commitment to social justice, solidarity, and transformative learning for a more just and sustainable world.
