Boram Kim leads a global team that oversees volunteering programs at Habitat for Humanity International, an organization dedicated to promoting decent and affordable housing in more than 70 countries. A native of the Republic of Korea, she is a peace and development professional with extensive leadership, policy and stakeholder engagement experience within the United Nations system and NOGs. Before joining Habitat for Humanity International, she provided global oversight for the implementation of a United Nations General Assembly resolution that aimed at integrating volunteering into the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the United Nations Volunteers. She also served in two United Nations peacekeeping missions in Timor-Leste and Kosovo, as well as in Palestine with the United Nations Development Program, where she focused on promoting free and fair elections, democratic governance, rule of law and community support. She is also a board member of Habitat for Humanity International Association, a fund-raising entity in Switzerland to promote low-cost housing around the world.
