Domenica Yánez is an Ecuadorian professional in International Relations and Human Rights, currently working in the field of international volunteering, community-based cooperation, and intercultural exchange. She is part of the coordination team of VASE Ecuador, an organization that works with international volunteers, local communities, and social projects across different regions of the country.
Over the past years, she has coordinated volunteer programs and projects developed in partnership with European and international organizations, focusing on sustainable community engagement, youth participation, intercultural learning, and ethical volunteering practices. Her work has particularly focused on strengthening collaboration between international volunteers and local actors through approaches based on mutual learning.
Alongside her professional experience, Domenica is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Rights, with academic research focused on discrimination, social justice, and human rights in Ecuador. Currently studying a Master’s Degree in Social and Solidarity Economy. Through both her academic and professional work, she advocates for more equitable, sustainable, and community-centered models of international cooperation that promote responsible global partnerships and meaningful social impact.
