Volunteer Program Manager, Habitat for Humanity Intl, LAC region

Flor Navarro is a Volunteer Programs Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean at Habitat for Humanity International, based in El Salvador. She supports the development, strengthening, and integration of volunteering across the region, working closely with Habitat country organizations to design and implement volunteer initiatives that contribute to housing and community development outcomes. Flor has more than 15 years of experience in volunteering across LAC, including 10 years at Habitat for Humanity in roles coordinating and leading volunteers and their experiences. With expertise in volunteer engagement, program design, capacity building, partnerships, and regional coordination, she provides strategic guidance to country teams and volunteer leaders, focusing on strengthening local and international volunteering, improving volunteer experiences, and connecting volunteering with broader priorities. Having collaborated with diverse teams, volunteers, partners, and communities across the region, Flor has gained a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges of building sustainable volunteer programs in different contexts. She is passionate about fostering a culture of volunteering that promotes participation, learning, leadership, and collective action for housing; and believes well-designed volunteer programs can strengthen relationships, mobilize resources, and inspire people to advocate for stronger communities and access to adequate housing.
