“Mr. Razman Durhan is an emerging Malaysian leader at the forefront of youth empowerment, volunteerism, and inclusive economic growth shaped by a powerful journey from volunteer to national changemaker. A 2020 Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholar and the first in his family to attend university, he represents the transformative impact of opportunity, resilience, and structured youth development.
An alumnus of Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS), Razman’s leadership journey began on the ground leading international volunteer missions in Vietnam and Laos, and delivering community projects that impacted thousands across Southeast Asia. His global exposure is further strengthened through programmes such as the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) and the International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences (IATSS), enriching his perspectives on leadership, policy and regional cooperation.
Today, he serves as a Board Director of YSS, embodying the full circle outcome of volunteerism as a pathway to leadership, influence, and nation-building.
Professionally, he is the Head of Investment and Project Inspectorate at Sabah Fisheries and Fishermen’s Corporation (KO-Nelayan), where he drives strategic investments to uplift fishing communities and strengthen Sabah’s socio-economic resilience. His earlier role as Felo Sabah Maju Jaya further reflects his grounding in public policy and governance.
As a speaker, Razman offers a rare, lived perspective, demonstrating how volunteerism cultivates leadership, employability, and long-term civic participation, turning youth potential into tangible societal impact.
