Tiffany Mai is the Secretary General of Waker Welfare Action Association, a Taiwan-based nonprofit organization focused on international volunteer service and child-centered engagement. With experience across nonprofit sectors—including museums, performing arts, humanitarian and immigrant community—she brings a cross-disciplinary perspective shaped by professional experience in both Taiwan and the United States.
She currently leads volunteer-based programs in multiple Asian countries, including Mongolia, India, Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, and Philippines, working to develop culturally grounded, locally collaborative approaches to accompaniment services. Her focus lies in building volunteer systems that support long-term engagement and reflective practice, particularly across generational and cultural differences.
As a young nonprofit leader, she is navigating how to sustain values-driven service while managing uncertainty and change—seeking to balance organizational stability with responsiveness to evolving needs on the ground.
