Katia Major is a seasoned international development professional with over two decades of experience in program and partnership management, volunteer coordination, and event organization across the non-profit, government, and private sectors. Currently based in Ottawa, she leads the GAC-funded Volunteer Cooperation Program at Veterinarians Without Borders, managing a global team and overseeing operations in Africa and Asia. Katia excels in stakeholder engagement, budget oversight, and results-driven implementation, with a strong track record of building strategic partnerships across government, academic, and NGO sectors. Fluent in French and English, she has worked extensively in Canada, the UK, India, and several countries in Africa and Southeast Asia.
