As we get ready for this year’s Conference of International Volunteer Cooperation Organisations (IVCO), we are thrilled to announce the launch of the IVCO 2024 Think Piece series, promoted by  Forum, Northumbria University and Comhlámh.

Over the coming months, leading up to the September conference, we will share a series of insightful Think Pieces that explore this year’s conference theme: ‘Building & Sustaining Connections for Change: Volunteering for Solidarity’ from different angles.

In each Think Piece, authors from across the world share their expertise and unique perspectives to inspire IVCO delegates and wider audiences to explore various aspects of this theme and consider key questions ahead of the conference.

We invite you to read all the think pieces below or directly on the dedicated IVCO 2024 Think Pieces page. Each piece is available in English, French, and Spanish.

While you’re there, take a deeper dive into the IVCO 2024 experience and explore the conference website

Join us in transitioning this conversation from the digital space to real-world discussions — secure your spot at IVCO 2024 by registering here. Early Bird Tickets and Subsidised Tickets for IVCO 2024 are still available, so grab your ticket now at a discounted price!

We are delighted to open the series today with an insightful piece by Christine Frazer, Gateshead Community Bridgebuilder working at Bensham Grove Community Centre in the North East of England. You can acess it here. Stay tuned for more!
